Zil haj is the 12th month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Muslims celebrate Eid -Ul-Adah on the 10th day of the Zil Hajj. Eid Ul Adha is also known as a big Eid. Muslims perform their ritual (sacrifice of animals) on Eid-Ul-Adha in commemorating the enthesis of Hazrat Ibraheem (A.S) as an act of obedience to Allah.

 Hazrat Ibrahim Ali Salam was ready to sacrifice his son in the way of Allah. Eid-Ul- Azha is an Islamic festival- and according to this ritual, Muslims sacrifice animals like goats, camels, and cows and divide these meets into three parts. one-third part (qurbani ka ghost) is for relatives, one-third for those people (poor people) or needy who cannot be able to perform the ritual of Eid Ul Azha means sacrificing an animal for Eid, and one-third part of me to keep in the house for your own family.

How do Muslims celebrate Eid Ul Adha?

Eid Ul-Adha is celebrated happily as Eid Ul Fitr and Eid Milad un-Nabi (S.A.W) on the day of Eid Ul Adha first of all men wear new clothes and prayer of Eid Ul-Adah after prayers or after performed the Nawfal of Eid Ul Azha in the mosque. they (men) hug each other and wish Eid Mubarak. After praying and wishing Eid to each other, they go home, wear old clothes, and prepare things for the sacrifice of the animals, which means they are busy with the ritual of Eid Ul-Adah.

Eid Ul Adha Qurbani:

Before starting the Qurbani or sacrifice o animals meant ritual of Eid Ul Adha Muslims recites these words. This Dua is a way of expressing's his gratitude to Allah and his greatness.

 “بسم الله الله اكبر”

ترجمہ : اللہ کے نام سے شروع اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے 

Translation:
" In the name of Allah is the greatest."

Dua after qurbani:

قربانی کے بعد کی دعا

اللهم تقبل مني "

كما تقبلت

من حبيبك

محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم و ابراهيم عليه السلام

ترجمہ :اللہ اس قربانی کو مجھ سے قبول فرما ماںجیسے کہ آپ نے قبول کیااپنے حبیب حضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور خلیل حضرت "ابراہیم علیہ السلام سے 

Dua for 1st decade of Hajj 

حج کے پہلے عشرے یعنی کے پہلے دس دنوں کی دعا

 اے اللہ ہمیں ان دنوں میں آتش جہنم سے  آزاد اور رہا کیے ہوئے قرار دے نیز" 

"اپنی جنت میں داخل شدہ اور نجات یافتہ شمارکر اپنی رحمت کے طفیل سے اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے 

Translation:

"O, Allah free us from hellfire these days, O, most Merciful consider me as one who entered your paradise by your mercy."

 


After the sacrificed animal meet divided into 3 parts women cook Liver means( kaleji) and organize an event at a home and invite the people to this event for Qurbani lunch. In the month of Zil Hajj Muslims perform Hajj on Mecca.

The purpose of Eid Ul Azha is that to commemorate the willingness and obedience of Hazrat Ibraheem A.S in the way of Allah.
